I created this visual in 2024, which offers some insights into food environments. Structured in eight different parts, it gives a fast idea about food environments, and what impacts them. From practices to infrastructure and the food providers to the discourse, digitality, the personal background, corporeality and how processed versus unprocessed food shapes our societal realities in times of climate change: your food, it’s your choice!
Currently, I am pursuing my Geography dissertation within the transdisciplinary Indo-German NutriAIDE project, where I explore urban food environments in South Asia (India) and Latin America (Mexico) through the lens of consumption practices. My research aims to understand how urbanization, climate change, and digitalization shape food choices and sustainability in these regions.
